Mighty Goddess of Catharsis.

Envision the altar as a portal to Borborophorba's cave. See the candle flame lighting the entrance to the cave. Open your soul vision to see yourself walking through the flame into the cave. The flame becomes Borborophorba, consuming the miasma in your offering. Imagine the weight being lifted; feel the space created.

Stay with this feeling for as long as you need. If emotions come up, pour them into the candle as well. Once you are feeling lighter, see the energy of the candle shifting from consumptive to an outpouring of Hekate's wisdom. Take careful notice of any images, sensations, or feelings that come to you. A symbol will manifest.

After the ritual, spend time either crafting or selecting a physical representation of the symbol you received as a souvenir of your catharsis. Keep it in your Cista Mystica. Refer back to the tips for processing and integrating deeper-world experiences in chapter 6. You can dispose of the offering in whatever way feels right to you. Some students keep the offering in their Cista Mystica, while others bury or burn it.
